About the Stone

The mahogany swirls are iron — hematite or magnetite in the black volcanic glass. Same material as Black Obsidian, its own teaching; chief source Mexico.

Care

Volcanic glass: chipped edges can be sharp, and it scratches more easily than quartz. Store apart from harder stones; avoid thermal shock. Cleanse it with sage or moonlight.
